Now that you are all well "On the Road", how about discussing your first impressions of this book? How do you relate to the story so far? Where is this road heading?

I like it because it is more rude and more natural, its more like my kind of reading
ReplyDeleteIt shows things the way they are even if it's cruel and rude. Not having any paragraphs makes it very long to read but so far so good :)
ReplyDeleteIt is not that bad, but sometimes Kerouac is saying too much at the same time and it makes me lose track of the story. It is also long to read, but the general idea is good.
ReplyDeleteFirst I was afraid it would be very long because there are no paragraphs and chapters only full pages of text but you were right it is difficult to stop reading because it feels like I will miss something of the story.
ReplyDeleteI'm so lost in it. It's difficult to read a sentence of 6 lines, I mean, he wants to say so much things ! Its the first time I read a book like that so maybe I'll get use to it. Anyways, the story is great and realistic.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the organization is far from being the greatest, and in my opinion it makes the book even more special, it fits the story to perfection. The story is about adventure, about going forward yet without much clue, no organization just initiative, such a style of writing is well-fit and near mandatory. So far, I love the book.
ReplyDeleteI find that the book seems to be long, because there is no structure, no paragraphs, it's just one big chapter. The book is fine until here I hope I will enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI foud hard to follow when Jack, in this part, jump into flashback and story about Neil. If you dont pay attention you can think he's with him. But so far the book is good !
