Hello everyone,
Now that your done reading the book I am eager to hear what you have to say. You may also choose to discuss the two poems that we read before the exam.
I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.

Well I mentionned it at the end of last week's exam, but I hated the Kiss of the Fur Queen. I know it's a realistic approach to these times, but no matter how much I tried to convince myself about it, I couldn't bring myself to enjoying the read. The sexual agression of Gabriel totally turned me off, I'm already a hater of religion if you may, that just helped my negative views and opinions of it. There is one thing I can applaud the author for, the originality in the various names he gave his characters was top notch.
ReplyDeleteKiss of the Fur Queen was quite a strange book sometimes hard to understand. I couldn't say I really hated the book but it is not my favorite either. It was too disturbing at some moments. I hate books with sexual agressions and books that are based on a true story because it reminds me that it could happen to anybody and that it really happened.
ReplyDeleteThis book was really a strange book, I mean books with sexuals situations I don't really like that. It is hard to believe that it was actually a real story and a little bit confusing. I didn't really like the book, but sometimes it was okay. About the poems, some are interesting and some are less interesting, but still we learn about poetry.
ReplyDeleteI really hated Highway's novel. I also got turned off when there was sexual agression.... Most of it I'm speechless about it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like to book at all. I have never been able to get into the story. There was too much back and forth in the story. It was so complicated and there was no interrest for me. After the half of the book, I stopped bothering trying to understand it. I truly didn't enjoyed this book, it was borring!
ReplyDeleteI found Kiss of The Fur Queen was a little bit hard to read. I also think that there was not enough action and it didn't make me get into the story.
ReplyDeleteI didn't really like this novel. I found it too hard to read, because I wasn't interested and the fact that it was very religious turned me off. The thing I liked tho was the fact that it was realistic.
ReplyDeleteEven if this book has good theme and different new aspect in wich we can see the life from a new point of view, the difficulty of the reading doesn't help us to get the main message of this novel. In most of the part of the book I had to reread because it was too akward for me.
